The Hospital Rafael Estévez  in the town of Aguadulce in the province of Coclé in Panama has launched MANSIS as an Integrated Corporate Asset Management System.

This hospital becomes the second hospital center of the Caja de Seguro Social de Panamá (CSS) to go live with MANSIS, as part of the project that will cover all the hospital centers of the Social Security Fund for the Management of its Corporate Assets.

This project covers 35 Hospital Centers (Hospitals and Polyclinics), and the entire fleet of vehicles of the Caja de Seguro Social de Panamá.

MANSIS technology, as a multicenter and multicomplex management system, allows the technological infrastructure to be concentrated in a single server located in the central services of the CSS, which provides service to all hospital centers in the country. All this will allow a grouped operation of all the centers or individualized by center depending on the interest at any given time.

During the implementation of MANSIS as a Corporate Asset Management information system, the following tasks, among others, have been carried out:

  • Inventory of assets
  • Definition and codification of groups and subgroups of facilities trees.
  • Definition of the hospital by physical spaces according to plans
  • Rearrangement of warehouse and labeling
  • Recoding of items and inventory
  • Training of infrastructure department staff
  • Training of the staff of the requesting departments (ward, departments and management).

With this implementation, the following modules have been put into operation:
